Dolly Parton and American Idol fans are disappointed to learn that country singer, known for its bumper - Err, "Jolene" meet the 1974, has rejected an offer to become a judge in the singing competition reality.
This almost 61 years, Dolly Parton, who was born and raised in Sevierville, Tennessee, began working at a young age and later went on to record several albums with different names. Some of his views have never been in the Billboard Top 100, but their single "Jolene", produced by Buena Ferguson, became a hit when it was released in 1974.
For its next season, American Idol plans to produce an episode that was entirely devoted to the legendary country singer. Fox was invited to a judge for the episode, however, declined the offer because he thought it was too good for some candidates to criticize the competence of the most popular song in America.
"I'm not a judge. I could not do that. I can not tell people who do a good job, even if you ask me, "Dolly Parton said. "To talk to someone if they are good or bad, or if they suck, not me."
Instead of serving as a judge on an episode of Dolly Parton tribute, however, the country singer, instead agreed to cooperate with the candidates behind the scenes, giving advice and teaching them songs.
